Deal’s love of music started at a young age when he met a hippy with really long hair at a Polynesian Tiki lounge. Deal’s parents were both working that evening, so they dropped him off and asked the bar manager to keep an eye on him. The band playing that night was ‘Trapped!’ They were Deal’s hometown’s number one post-emo-grunge-electro-thrash-death-metal band. The hippy was a groupie of the band and schooled Deal on the ins and outs of 6/8 time and accented eighth notes double-bass drum fills.
But Deal was immediately taken to the guitar and since a tender age has been playing religiously. He performed every Sunday morning at the 9:30 and 11:45 services at his local church. After cutting his teeth (and fingers) perfecting ‘Brosannahs in the Highest’ Deal joined punk and ska bands in university and eventually began touring with the Okie Dokie Skokie Smokies, a Panic! at the Disco cover band in Skokie, Illinois. Early on the Bitcoin game, Deal has never had to concern himself with funds, but just pursues his two passions every day: playing music and taking pictures of vehicles post-collision on the highway.
Deal composes many of the Loose Booty songs, sings backup vocals, and wrote the lyrics to the band’s smash hit ‘House Party.’
