Jen is a Converse-wearing, rarely-swearing, super-daring, saxophone-blaring force of nature. If it wasn’t for Jen, Newton would have never discovered gravity.
Don’t think so? Go read a history book, for godsakes.
In Loose Booty, Jen wears multiple hats, including leading the brass section and organizing the band’s Afropessimism book club (It’s the bigger of the band’s two book clubs). Her musical career began with an auspicious kazoo audition for Wes Anderson’s yet-to-be-released film, ‘Three Monkeys and a Watchmaker.’ After impressing both the Director and his Musical Director, Jen rapidly mastered the recorder, the alto recorder, the piccolo, and the saxophone in quick succession. After playing in the pit band for a series of off-Broadway musicals (Brigadoon, Guys & Dolls, and Sesame Street: The Musical), Jen transitioned to be a session saxophonist.
Recording multiple albums and backing tracks eventually landed her a position in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and she moved to Germany. After a stint in Berlin, Jen relocated to Shanghai because the weather was more conducive to her mountaineering hobby. Regrettably, Jen was unable to load Google Maps upon her arrival and has yet to locate a sizable mountain within an hour’s drive of her apartment in Shanghai. She requests if anyone is able to share GPS coordinates with her, please just send her a text at +86 157 0384 2918.
Jen’s saxophone riffs and solos feature prominently in every Loose Booty song, as she keeps the band in line with her melodic grooves.
