Tom began his career as a pizza delivery guy at Antonio’s Ristorante, but was quickly promoted to store manager after negotiating a merger with Scoopy-Doo, the local ice cream parlor. Growing the Antonio’s empire to 40 stores outside of Boston, Tom took the company public through a SPAC in the late 2010’s and wanted to sail around the world as an early retirement gift to himself. A terrible storm set his ship off-course during his voyage and while in his nautical cabin he began learning mandolin. A bleary-eyed waitress aboard the ship heard his strumming from the deck below and recommended he begin performing to the other guests on the ship. Within a week he was bringing down the house each night, playing “Smoke on the Water” in six different keys. When the ship docked in Shanghai, Tom disembarked and never looked back.
After arriving in the Pearl of the Orient, Tom’s career quickly took a hard turn into music full-time when he met a homeless person with a compelling sign. This homeless person in fact turned out to be a wizard-in-training who blessed Tom with the fastest fingers this side of the Huangpu. Often mistaken for Idris Elba due to his back thickness and stunning calf development, Tom has quickly become a favorite of Booty Groupies. In fact, one night after a show at C’s, Tom had to politely decline respectful invitations for a nightcap from Sarah, an incognito starship captain, Gertrude, Shanghai Costco’s assistant general manager, and Cassandra, a relentlessly inquisitive reporter. (All names have been changed for sake of anonymity and safety).
Tom wrote the band’s first single ‘Jam on Toast’ and can be found shredding guitar solos on a regular basis.
